Statistics

The first task of EUROTRANS in 1969 was to draw up a common nomenclature of products. This nomenclature then formed the basis of the nomenclatures used by world customs bodies (Harmonised System) and for the preparation of the European statistical systems (at that time: NIPRO - industrial production nomenclature - NIMEXE - industrial trade nomenclature).

On the basis of these nomenclatures the Committee issues production and trade statistical data on the various member countries, for EUROTRANS members to have a clearer picture of the economic status of their Industry in the world.
