Frankfurt, 25th June 2010; The European Power Transmission Engineering industry met on invitation of the German Power Transmission Engineering Association (VDMA) for its annual meeting on 11th June 2010 in Munich. Theo Maas, CEO Mechanical Drives, Siemens AG, I DT MD, was elected as new EUROTRANS president.
ANNUAL MEETING 2010 / Munich 10, 11 & 12 JUNE 2010
The Annual Meeting of EUROTRANS 2010 will be held in Munich 10th, 11th June 2010 by the invitation of the German Power Transmission Association within the VDMA. There will be also an election of the EUROTRANS President. It will be an international management plattform of the Power Transmission Industry, together with some actual economic speeches.

January 2010: First Eurotrans Training Course - a big sucess !
The first training sessions hast taken place in January 2010. Eurotrans were pleased to welcome 15 particpants for the 1st week of the Eurotrans Gear Training on ‘Geometry and Design’ at Cetim (Senlis, France). The training was evaluated 'satisfying' to 'very satisfying' on the content of the courses and the organisation of the complete program - so it was a full sucess.
In March 2010 the second week of this training programme will be organised on the topic of ‘production’ (8 to 12th March, Namur, Belgium).

The European Power Industry is expecting a difficult year in 2010 -
On invitation of the Italian Association of Gears and Transmission Elements, Assiot, the European Power Transmission Engineering Industry had a Board meeting on 4th December 2009 in Venice, Italy.
Georges Roobaert, EUROTRANS President and member of the executive committee of Hansen Transmissions, described the situation for the European Power Transmission Industry as very difficult due to the worldwide economic crisis. pressrelease
Sector committees’ alliance letter on the FTA with South Korea, which was sent to President Barroso and high officials of the European Commission 29th June 2009.
European power transmission industry prepared to survive the crisis – Georges Roobaert, Hansen Transmission Int., elected for second period as EUROTRANS president.
Successful Annual meeting of the European Power Transmission Industry as guest of BGA (British Gear Association) in UK. Forecast 09: drop of 20 - 40% could be possible for the European Power Transmission Industry.
